The Sun Cluster 3.0 Cool Stuff CD is a zero-cost, unsupported software
that is highly recommended to be ordered when ordering Sun Cluster
3.0 Base Pack Media kit.
Sun Cluster 3.0 Cool Stuff CD includes the following cool tools:
Cluster Manager
The Cluster Manager is an easy way to install, maintain and administer
Sun Cluster 3.0 on any 2, 3 or 4-node cluster. It has a simple web-based
GUI that can be viewed on any machine with a browser that
supports frames and Java applets.
DSToolkit: Data Services Toolkit
The Data Services Toolkit provides tools and procedures for developing
highly-available and scalable data services.
Remote_Shared_Memory: RSMAPI and SCI Support
The packages in this directory provide:
Support for a Remote Shared Memory user API (RSMAPI) for
cluster-aware applications. The API provides mechanisms upon
which an application can build low- latency messaging through direct
access to shared-memory hardware.
Support for clusters configured with Dolphin SCI Interconnect
hardware.
RGMsetup: Resource Group Manager Setup
Resource Group Manager setup provides a set of RGM extensions to
scsetup(1M). These extensions produce an interactive interface for the
tasks associated with configuring resource groups and resources.
RTWizard: Resource Type Wizard
The Resource Type Wizard is a tool that automates the creation of
resource types, also known as data-services, to be run under the
Resource Group Manager (RGM) framework of Sun Cluster.
scVxinstall: Automatic VxVM Installation and Root Disk Encapsulation
scvxinstall provides automatic VxVM installation and root disk
encapsulation for Sun Cluster 3.0, hiding the complex steps required
and protecting the system from user mistakes, which can severely
impact cluster availability.
