Sun ships new 733mhz SunPCi IIPro coprocessor card
Sun is shipping a faster version of the SunPCi[TM] IIpro
Coprocessor Card. It includes larger base memory, new 2.2.1
Software, and support for Windows ME, along with Microsoft Server
Operating Systems and Citrix MetaFrame. Also included in this
software driver release is support for multiple cards per system in
specific systems. SunPCi IIpro now provides a hardware environment
that will allow the Windows environment to be displayed on Sun Ray[TM]
Appliance.
The new 733-MHz SunPCi IIpro Coprocessor Card is different from
the 600-MHz SunPCi card in four ways:
- Processor speed. SunPCi IIpro features a 733-MHz Celeron CPU.
- Base memory size. SunPCi IIpro base memory is now 128Mb.
- Supports Microsoft Server Operating Systems.
- Supports multiple SunPCi IIpro Cards.
Sun workstation users with the SunPCi IIpro Coprocessor Card can
run the following at native speeds on their Solaris[TM] OE systems:
- Windows NT Server 4.0
- Windows NT Server, Terminal Server Edition
- Windows 2000 Server
- Windows ME
- Windows 98 Second Edition
- Windows NT Workstation 4.0
- Windows 2000 Professional Edition
- Citrix MetaFrame
